Privacy Policy
What Wrenfield Home Care collects, why, who sees it, and how to have it removed.
This is a starting template, prepared for Wrenfield Home Care and filled in with the business's own details. It is not final and is not legal advice. It should be reviewed end to end by Wrenfield Home Care's legal counsel, and amended to match how the business actually operates, before it is relied on.
The short version
Wrenfield Home Care collects the contact details you give us when you ask for a quote, book a visit or apply for a job, plus a small amount of technical information your browser sends automatically. We use it to do the work, to reply to you and to keep the site standing up. We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Questions, or want your information removed? Email hello@wrenfield.example.com or call (512) 555-0147.
What we collect
Information you give us. When you use the booking form, the quote chat or the job application form: your name, phone number, email address, postcode, the service you want, and whatever you tell us about the job. If you apply for work, whatever you put in the application.
Information your browser sends. Your IP address, and the ordinary request details every web server receives — the page you asked for, your browser and operating system version, and the page you came from. We do not run advertising trackers or analytics profiling.
Information about messages. If you give us a phone number, we record the consent wording you were shown and the moment you accepted it, so that both of us have a record of what you agreed to.
We do not ask for, and have no use for, government identifiers, financial account numbers, health information, biometrics or precise geolocation. Please do not send them to us.
Why we use it, and on what basis
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Name, contact details, address, service | To quote, schedule, carry out and invoice the work you asked for |
| Phone number | To reach you about your job; for text messages only if you agreed |
| IP address | To rate-limit the booking and chat forms so automated abuse cannot flood them, and in our server logs |
| Job applications | To consider you for the role |
We keep your information because you asked us to do a job, because we have to for our tax and accounting records, or because we have a plain business interest in a website that works and is not overrun by bots.
Who else sees it
We use a small number of service providers, and they act on our instructions:
- Our customer-relationship system. Enquiries are forwarded to the CRM we use to run the business, so the person who calls you back can see what you asked for.
- Our hosting and database providers. The site runs on managed hosting; your enquiry is stored so it cannot be lost, and ordinary server logs — which include IP addresses — are retained for a short period.
- The chat provider, but only if you choose to start a chat. Their software is not loaded onto the page until you accept it, and if you decline, nothing of theirs runs. See our Cookie Notice.
We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we have not done either in the last twelve months. We will hand information to a public authority only where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Enquiries and booking history stay for as long as you are a customer and then for as long as our tax and accounting obligations require. Consent records are kept for as long as we might need to evidence them. Server logs, including IP addresses, age out on a short cycle. Job applications are kept for the hiring round unless you ask us to keep you on file.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, and we will do it. Just ask.
If you are a California resident, the CCPA gives you the specific rights to know what we collect and why, to receive a copy, to correct it, to delete it, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — which we do not do — and to limit the use of sensitive personal information, which we do not collect. You may use an authorised agent. We will never treat you differently for exercising any of these rights: no worse price, no worse service.
If you are in the UK or EU, you also have the right to object to or restrict processing, to portability, and to complain to your data protection authority.
To exercise any of this, email hello@wrenfield.example.com or call (512) 555-0147. We will verify that the request really comes from you — usually by checking the details against the enquiry itself — and reply within the time the relevant law allows, normally 45 days in California and one month in the UK and EU.
Children
This website is meant for adults arranging work on their home. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us their information, email hello@wrenfield.example.com or call (512) 555-0147 and we will delete it.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16 — we do not do either for anybody. Job applicants must be old enough to work lawfully in TX; if we learn an applicant is a minor we handle their application under the rules that apply to young workers.
Security, and being straight with you
We protect your information with the ordinary measures a business of our size should take, and we keep the number of people who can see it small. No website can promise perfect security, and we are not going to pretend otherwise.
Changes
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and move the date at the top. Material changes will be flagged here rather than made quietly.
